This unit is decent for anyone who is getting a human hair wig for the first time but doesn't want to spend too much money. Out the box, there was no smell, the hair was soft and the lace is transparent. As others have mentioned in the reviews, there is a noticeable bulge in the back, like a camel hump in the way the wig wefts are constructed onto the cap. This can be slightly alleviated by flat ironing the hair and using some type of gel or mousse but it will eventually revert back as it has to do with the direction the wefts are woven onto the cap. The wig came decently pre-plucked but perhaps could have a bit more plucking done to more seamlessly integrate the baby hairs into the rest of the hair. The parting space allows a decent variety of positions in how you part the hair in the front.Now, one reason why I'm giving this four stars instead of 5 mainly has to do with the fact that this hair is not really a straight hair wig as advertised. Out of the box, without any product added, it did look like the photo for the first two weeks that I've had it. After the second week, I slightly bleached the ends of the hair to a dark brown and noticed upon washing and shampooing the wig that this hair is actually wavy/ slightly curly hair that had been flat ironed. I was surprised, but the texture was still nice with its wave pattern and this didn't bother me too much. However, I think someone who really wanted a pin-straight wig as it is depicted in the photo would not be so happy about this. The actual wave texture is pretty, but should be depicted as such in the photo, instead of in its ironed state. Also, it should be noted that the best gel "adhesive" to use with this lace (I tried got2b yellow, black, freeze spray, and gorilla snot) is got2b glued black bottle. The yellow leaves an obvious residue on the lace that crusts over after time, the freeze spray makes the lace too stiff and brittle not adhering to your head and the gorilla snot leaves a yellow crust and doesn't adhere too well for a long time. Black got2b is your best bet but may need to be touched up throughout the day, especially if you live in hot climates.
